User Acquisition Fraud Prevention

Eliminate Fake Traffic and Optimize Your UA Budget

Trim waste from your User Acquisition budget by eliminating fake traffic from third-party platforms. Ensure your users are real by confidently identifying fraud across gaming, offerwalls, ad networks, and rewarded user acquisition platforms. Quago’s real-time detection system uncovers hidden fraud, ensuring you pay only for genuine clicks, installs, and incentivized actions.

Fake Player Traffic

Game Studio's UA Budget Allocation - Traffic Breakdown

The Challenge

Ad networks, offerwalls, and rewarded platforms have become central to many user acquisition strategies, especially after privacy regulations like iOS 14, reduced visibility into user-level data. To continue reaching engaged players, advertisers increasingly rely on performance-based channels where engagement can be tracked, but these channels have also created new opportunities for fraud.

Gaming studios, offerwalls, rewarded platforms, and ad networks struggle to detect fake traffic across acquisition channels. Whether it’s fake installs, click farms, or incentivized abuse, this traffic distorts campaign results and drives up costs, often without delivering real engaged players.

Attribution tools like MMPs support campaign tracking and optimization. But as fraud tactics become more complex, the industry lacks the visibility to reliably separate real traffic from fake, especially across a fragmented ecosystem that includes DSPs, SSPs, ad exchanges, and mediation platforms.

A Holistic Approach to Preventing User Acquisition Manipulation

Quago analyzes sensor data to detect fraud, monitor activity in real time, and provide actionable insights into tactics that distort acquisition performance. By understanding how users physically interact with their devices, Quago distinguishes between engaged players and fake traffic. Quago’s algorithms map hidden connections between accounts and devices, revealing patterns that static detection methods often overlook. This unique data layer, built on sensor data and connectivity models, brings added visibility across key players in the UA ecosystem, including game studios, ad networks, offerwalls, and rewarded platforms.

Maximize Your ROAS

With gaming studios spending $29 billion on User Acquisition last year, the potential for financial loss from fraudulent traffic is staggering. Quago protects your Cost Per Install (CPI) and Cost Per Engagement (CPE) metrics by identifying fake users before they distort results. Whether it’s reward-based campaigns or incentivized user engagement, detecting fraud early helps increase your Return on Ad Spend (ROAS) and predicated long-term value (pLTV).

How Quago works

Take Real-Time Action

Detect fraud in real-time and respond before it affects your results. Quago’s real-time insights give you the visibility to block fake traffic early in the funnel, minimizing wasted spend and protecting campaign performance. By acting quickly, studios and acquisition channels can minimize wasted spend and keep acquisition metrics accurate.

Accuracy and Reliability for Confident Decisions

Detection is only useful if you can trust the evidence behind it. Quago provides clear evidence that distinguishes engaged users from fake traffic, helping you act with confidence. With reliable insights across all user acquisition campaigns, you can protect your spend and maintain the integrity of your performance metrics.

The Hidden Cost of Fraud: Churn and Fake Installs

Fraudsters use device farms, scripts, and incentivized traffic to generate fake actions that appear legitimate, but never lead to real engagement. This inflates performance metrics and misleads campaign decisions, resulting in misaligned cohorts and inefficient spend. Some fraud prevention methods rely on basic indicators, allowing sophisticated fake installs to bypass detection and distort campaign performance. Quago detects fake traffic silently in the background, helping studios protect campaign quality without disrupting engaged players.

Stay Ahead of Sophisticated
Fraud Tactics

Fraudsters constantly evolve their tactics to stay undetected. They change locations, devices, and other behaviors to slip past traditional detection. From spoofed traffic to GenAI-assisted scripts, these methods are designed to mimic legitimate activity. Some fraudsters simulate real engagement across D1, D7, and even D30 retention windows. Quago sees through this noise by analyzing how users physically interact with their devices, revealing hidden patterns that static tools miss. While fraud tactics change, Quago keeps you one step ahead:
